Who we are
ISET Climate Resilience is a trusted leader in systems based resilience building. We facilitate solutions for complex issues at the intersection of climate, disaster, gender, and inclusion. We offer capacity building, program design, strategic advice, and monitoring and evaluation to address local risk priorities. Our approach is equity informed, cross-sectoral, and inclusive, emphasizing social and environmental dimensions. We work through partnerships with communities, Indigenous groups, governments, and other organizations in service of enabling communities to set the agenda for their resilience building priorities. This starts with building connections. As a regional hub with strong national and international networks, ISET Climate Resilience applies global learning while remaining grounded in local contexts.
What we do
Monitoring, evaluation and learning
We develop and implement Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems to track progress, document results and impact, and generate usable learning for complex programs. We specialize in innovative qualitative approaches, including Outcome Harvesting.
Strategic planning and advisory
We support organizations, decision-makers and leaders to strengthen systems-based approaches for resilience planning, delivery, and organizational development. This includes systems analysis, multi-actor consultation and engagement, facilitation of Shared Learning Dialogues, and advising on integrated policy development and implementation.
Program design and implementation
We co-design and implement both large and small climate resilience and disaster risk reduction programs and projects. Our program and project designs combine practice, learning, and influence for impact.
Risk assessments and applied research
We work with communities to conduct risk assessments and develop effective disaster resilience plans. Our applied research generates demand-driven, actionable knowledge and evidence. We have published in peer-reviewed spaces and focus on participatory action-oriented learning.
Training and capacity building
We design and facilitate training and education programs for all audiences in emergency management; disaster risk reduction and disaster management; monitoring, evaluation and learning; resilience planning and strategy; and organizational development. We offer both online and in-person options.

What we mean by resilience
Resilience is the capacity of communities, systems and ecosystems to prepare for, absorb, recover from, and adapt to impactful changes – both expected and unexpected – in their climate, environment, and society. Key resilience characteristics include learning, transparency, equity, and building in flexibility, redundancy, and modularity.
